The East Lyme Parks and Recreation department will host the annual Niantic Bay 10k at 6 p.m. Friday, June 9. The 10k run and 5k walk both start and finish at McCook Point Park, with post race awards and festivities afterward. The 5k walk will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Traffic delays can be expected in the areas of Crescent Beach and Black Point in Niantic. All proceeds from this event support the Open Center program of East Lyme Youth Services, which provides free after-school programming for middle school students in East Lyme.
