Salem — The beach at Gardner Lake State Park is closed to swimming due to high bacteria levels in water tests, the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced Friday.
Water will be resampled on Thursday, with results expected July 14, DEEP said in a news release.
All other state park beaches are open, except Squantz Pond in New Fairfield, which also had high bacteria levels and will be retested on Thursday, DEEP said.
