Power restored after outage in Groton City

Groton — Power was restored Monday evening after a transformer at the corner of Shennecossett Road and Branford Avenue blew out at about 2:50 p.m., knocking out power to multiple areas in the southern half of Groton City.
Groton Utilities temporarily experienced outages in areas of Avery Point, Brandegee Avenue and Shennecossett Road near St. John's Church, according to its website.
