Groton — Colonel Kenneth W. Steere Jr., USAFR, and Diane Seibert of Noank, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Victoria “Tori” Steere to Jason Hu, son of Freddy Ta-hwa and Julie Ju-ming Hu of Vancouver, B.C.

Tori is a graduate of Emerson College. She is a product manager at Focus Production, Menlo Park, Calif.

Jason is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and completed his MA at the Academy of Art. He is an industrial designer at Focus Production.

The couple met in San Francisco, Calif. A romantic Christmas Day proposal took place in Tallahassee, Fla., surrounded by family.

A summer 2017 wedding is planned.
