Submarine Electronics Computer Field course holds graduation
Groton - Twenty-three sailors of Class 17050 graduated from the Submarine Electronics Computer Field, SECF, Apprentice course on Thursday, May 25.
The SECF "A" school combines a core curriculum of Electronics, Fire Control, and Sonar Technician skills and abilities while emphasizing team training and cross rating familiarization.
Seaman Stephen Bayer, Seaman Apprentice Markangelo Castillo, and Seaman Paul Rackley were Class Honor Graduates.
Bayer was also named Class Graduate with Distinction.
Seaman Chance Megginson received the William Purdum Award.
Seaman Jacob Carrothers, Seaman Noah Ohler, and Seaman Apprentice Justin Reese were recognized for Personal Excellence.
