Ledyard ― Fire destroyed a motor home Wednesday outside a house at 164 Indiantown Road.

The fire was reported at about 12:45 p.m. Ledyard Fire Lt. Brian Pepin said firefighters arrived to find the motor home engulfed in flames and situated just a few feet from the house’s detached garage.

The fire was contained within a few minutes without damage to the garage, house or nearby shed. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ledyard fire marshal’s office.

The Ledyard Fire Department was aided by firefighters from multiple area departments, including Mashantucket and Gales Ferry.
