Portion of Ocean Avenue in New London closed after car snaps utility pole

New London — Ocean Avenue between Dell Avenue and Sander Street is closed after a car struck and snapped an utility pole late Tuesday, police said.

The roadway will be closed until the pole is fixed. There is no estimate on when the road will reopen.
