Motorcycle, truck collision closes portion of Route 1 in Old Lyme

Old Lyme — State and Old Lyme police are investigating a collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck on Boston Post Road late Saturday afternoon.
The motorcyclist was transported to Middlesex Hospital by LifeStar helicopter.
Boston Post Road was closed near the scene of the accident, which occurred about 4 p.m. just north of the state route's intersection with Whippoorwill Road.
No further information was available.
