Mystic — There will be temporary road closures and no parking orders in place for both the Stonington and Groton sections of Mystic during Sunday’s Mystic Half Marathon & 10K road race.

The temporary no-parking order will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Holmes Street, Pearl Street and Grove Avenue.

Road closures will occur along the race route, which begins and ends at Olde Mistick Village. Police said the road closures will come in sections and be reopened after runners pass through.

Police suggest motorists avoid the area around the race route, and ask all residents to use caution when driving in and around the race route.
