Police seeking robber of Pawcatuck bank

Stonington — Police are searching for a man who they say robbed the Citizens Bank on Route 1 in Pawcatuck at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said the man left the bank and drove away in a white car. There were no injuries. Stonington and Westerly police, which provided a K-9 unit, responded to the bank.
The man is described as white, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing jeans and a black jacket. A bank surveillance photo shows him clutching a fistful of cash and wearing black gloves, sunglasses and a dark-colored bandana over his mouth.
Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call them at (860) 599-4411. The bank branch also was robbed in 2002 and 2009.
