Montville — Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Tuesday night on Route 32 just south of the New London Turnpike intersection.

Police said Brendan George Thomas, 27, of 32 White St., Norwich, apparently lost control of his 2011 Yamaha YZF-R1, struck a curb and was ejected from the vehicle.

The police report did not indicate if Thomas was wearing any protective gear. The accident happened about 7:10 p.m.

Thomas was taken to the William W. Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
