New London — A motorcyclist suffered multiple injuries Thursday in a crash with another vehicle on Bank Street.

According to New London Police, shortly before 4 p.m. the driver of a 2002 Kia Sedona minivan was exiting the private parking lot at 939 Bank St. As the minivan was pulling out, the female driver of a 2008 Harley Davidson 1200, who was heading southbound on Bank Street, collided with the side of the minivan, police said.

The motorcyclist was transported to the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of a foot injury and possible head trauma sustained during the accident. She then was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for further treatment.

New London police said the upper portion of Bank Street would be closed between Carroll Court and Beckwith Street until the department's Accident Reconstruction Team and members of the Detective Bureau complete their investigation.
