    Four taken to hospital following crash on Route 32 in New London

    New London — Four people were taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital Thursday afternoon following an accident on Route 32 involving three vehicles, fire officials said.

    The crash was reported at 3:10 p.m. and occurred on the southbound side of Route 32 near the intersection of Deshon Street. Ambulances from New London and Waterford transported the patients for treatment of what firefighters described as non-life-threatening and minor injuries.

    Traffic was congested in the area for nearly an hour.

    Additional information on the cause of the crash was not immediately available from New London police.
