Old Saybrook police capture suspect in hold-up at Subway

Old Saybrook — Police say it took just minutes to capture a suspect in a robbery Thursday at the Subway restaurant on Route 1.
The store was held up at gunpoint at 4:14 p.m. Old Saybrook Police Lt. Kevin Roche said officers quickly surrounded the area and the suspect was caught at 4:32 p.m. at the nearby Amtrak train station.
The unidentified suspect was taken into custody without incident. No one was injured.
