I-95 southbound reopened at exit 71

Interstate 95 southbound has reopened following a two-vehicle accident at exit 71 that occurred just after 3 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.

The interstate remained congested back to exit 74 around 4:30 p.m.

Police said they believed emergency crews transported one person from the scene, but they were not immediately able to clarify the severity of the injury.

No further information is available.
