New London police arrest man on weapon charges
New London — A New London man was arrested Tuesday night after he was found in possession of a loaded gun.
Donnie Moore Jr., 19, of 145 Crystal Ave., was charged with possession of a pistol without a permit.
A patrol officer observed Moore walking in the area of Williams Street and State Pier Road. The officer knew Moore from previous contacts and recently was made aware that Moore might be in possession of a firearm.
The officer stopped Moore and found him to be in possession of a loaded .22-caliber pistol, which he does not have a permit to carry. He was arrested without incident.
He is being held on a $50,000 bond, pending his arraignment today in New London Superior Court.
