Waterford — Police on Monday morning said they're looking for a man who displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the Route 32 Henny Penny just after midnight Monday.

Police said no one was injured in the robbery, which occurred about 12:15 a.m.

The Henny Penny is located at 26 Route 32, which also is known as Norwich Road.

Police describe the robber as a black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black or gray hooded sweatshirt, and black pants with a white stripe.

Police said he demanded money from the clerk, then fled on foot after receiving the money.

A K-9 search did not find the robber, police said.
