UPDATED: Black Point Road reopened in East Lyme

East Lyme — Black Point Road between Main Street and Fairhaven Road has reopened after a car hit a pole and forced the road to close Monday night, police said.

The road was closed for about 12 hours as crews worked to replace a pole that was knocked out of commission near 5 Black Point Road when a car struck it just before 10 p.m. Monday night, according to police.
