Life Star responds to I-95 crash in East Lyme
East Lyme — Interstate 95 north has reopened at Exit 74 after a car flipped over there around noon, according to the state Department of Transportation.
State police also had closed I-95 south adjacent to the wreck for about half an hour to allow a Life Star helicopter to land there and transport one patient to the hospital.
At least one other person was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
DOT traffic cameras showed one vehicle on its side and a smashed pickup truck resting against the center median just beyond Exit 74.
The latter bore the logo of Independent Materials Testing Laboratories, a Plainville-based company.
