    New London police arrest four on drug charges

    New London — Police arrested four individuals over the week and found a total of 59 grams of cocaine and two handguns.

    The investigation was done in cooperation with members of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force East.

    Hector Pena-Tavares, 33, of 119 Jefferson Ave., Apt. 2, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and operating a drug factory.

    Miguel Martin, 38, of 48 Crystal Ave., Apt. A-91, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a housing project.

    Henry Alvino, 35, of 16 Ledge Road was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school and operating a drug factory.

    Angel Morales, 43, of 14 Ledge Road was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school and operating a drug factory.
