Groton police searching for missing 16-year-old

Groton — Police on Monday issued an alert for a 16-year-old they said went missing Sunday.

Jennifer Burns is described as a white female with black hair and brown eyes. She's 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds.

Burns has braces and may be wearing glasses. Police said she may be with Dylan Anderson, whom they called her "alleged boyfriend."

Police said Burns was last seen with Anderson at a Wal-Mart in New Brunswick, Maine. Police believe the two traveled from there toward New Haven in a white 1998 Lexus ES300 bearing Connecticut plate AB39015.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at (860) 441-6712.
