New London woman charged with breaking into Pawcatuck school
Stonington — Police on Thursday morning arrested a New London woman who allegedly broke into Pawcatuck Middle School overnight and stayed until staff located her in the morning.
Jesika Torres, 31, of 44 Prest St., Apt. 2, New London, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass.
Police said Torres allegedly caused minor damage to a screen in order to enter the building at 40 Field St.
They said she left the school without incident when staffers found her. Police later located Torres at an unspecified residence in the area.
Torres, released on an unspecified nonsurety bond, is due in New London Superior Court on March 3.
