Voluntown — A passenger in the Friday evening crash in Voluntown who was transported to Hartford Hospital by Life Star helicopter was listed in fair condition as of 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Caitlyn Joyner, 23, of Groton sustained injuries as a passenger in a Chevy Trailblazer driven by Nycole Sylvestre of Lisbon, according to state police.

Sylvestre was driving northbound on Pendleton Hill Road when she attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone, state police said.

The vehicle collided into a guardrail and rolled over, suffering heavy damage.
