Several hundred NPU customers in dark after car crash

Norwich — About 330 Norwich Public Utilities customers are without power Tuesday evening after a car struck a utility pole at Hunters Road and Harland Road-Route 169, NPU officials said.
The crash occurred at 6:10 p.m., Norwich police said. They said no one was injured in the accident.
NPU spokesman Chris Riley said power is expected to be out for two to three hours for the customers affected.
