New London — Officials with Shore Line East on Tuesday morning suspended train service at New London Union Station for about an hour.
Officials about 6 a.m. asked riders to use the Old Saybrook station and apologized for the inconvenience.
As of 6:49 a.m., service was operating "close to schedule."
Reached by phone, a rail line representative couldn't provide a reason for the suspended service.
