Norwich police arrest city man on heroin and cocaine charges
Norwich -- Police charged a city man Thursday with numerous drug offenses after executing a search warrant at his home.
Luis A. Marrero, 25, of 564 Laurel Hill Road, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell and interfering with a police officer. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Norwich Superior Court on Feb. 22.
Police said that they and the FBI executed the search warrant and seized more than $1,900 in cash, approximately 6 grams of crack cocaine and 2 grams of heroin. They also seized packaging materials and cutting agents.
Police said the search warrant was the result of a several months-long investigation of Marrero and his involvement in drug sales.
