Stonington — A North Stonington man was injured late Saturday night when he was ejected from his pickup truck after it left the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 and rolled over multiple times.

State police said Steven Congdon was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries after the 9:32 p.m. crash between exits 91 and 92. State police were not able to provide details about the extent of his injuries.

The crash slowed traffic on the highway as firefighters redirected traffic into the right shoulder to navigate around the scene.

State police said the crash occurred when Congdon's Chevy Silverado pickup veered off the roadway into a drainage swell where it then hit a rock formation and rolled over multiple times.
