Four charged after fight at Ocean Beach
New London — Four people, three of whom are from New Haven, were charged Sunday night after a fight at Ocean Beach Park that police said involved "multiple" people.
No serious injuries resulted from the fight, but police said in a news release that they had to use "OC" — more commonly known as pepper spray — to gain control of the situation. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m.
Erik Torres, 36, of New Haven was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace.
Lauren Hidalgo, 28, of New Haven was charged with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with police.
Mandel Bidone, 28, of Ansonia was charged with second-degree breach of peace.
Marco Pujoles, 20, of New Haven was charged with second-degree breach of peace.
