    UConn adds another transfer

The UConn men's basketball team added to its impressive list of transfers on Thursday when Terry Larrier gave a commitment.

Larrier, a 6-foot-7 wing from New York City, spent last season at Virginia Commonwealth University averaging 6.6 points and 3.0 rebounds in a reserve role. He played 18.5 minutes per game.

After sitting out next season due to transfer rules, Larrier will have three years of eligibility remaining. As a high school player, he chose VCU over UConn in 2013.

Larrier made his decision after visiting UConn last week. He also considered Maryland.

The Huskies are enjoying a highly-successful spring recruiting season. They've also added transfers Shonn Miller (Cornell) and Sterling Gibbs (Seton Hall), who'll be able to play next season while attending graduate school.

They also recently received a commitment from forward Mamadou Diarra, who'll attend Woodstock Academy this fall after playing at Putnam Science Academy last season. He's a member of the Class of 2016.

Diarra narrowed his list to UConn and VCU before picking the Huskies.
