Saybrook Stage Company performs "Deathtrap"
The Saybrook Stage Company is celebrating its fifth year in dramatic style — and by dramatic, we mean with a drama.
The theater group will present the Ira Levin thriller "Deathtrap" this weekend at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.
In "Deathtrap," which opened on Broadway in 1978 and proceeded to run four years, a playwright has seen his fortunes fail as his string of successful shows have given way to failures. When he finds a potential hit thriller penned by a young writer, well, things get devious.
Martin Scott Marchitto directs a cast that includes Alec Bandzes, Mary Corigliano, Terri Corigliano, Paul Falzone and Jim Hile.
