White honored by Russian American Foundation
The Russian American Foundation will honor George White, founder of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, at a reception that will kick off the 14th annual Russian Heritage Month in New York City on Thursday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
According to a press release, White is being recognized for “his inspiring dedication to spreading cultural exchange efforts and promoting positive dialogue between the cultures and peoples of the United States and Russia, and for his lifelong contributions to the art of theater and theater education.”
Russian Heritage Month celebrates the arts and culture of the countries of the former Soviet Union.
