Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were the absolute epitome of grace and elegance. Their dances became iconic representations of the ear of classic movie musicals. The new show "Carefree: Dancin' with Fred & Ginger" serves as a tribute this legendary duo, and it comes to the Garde Arts Center on Saturday.

This 90-minute revue melds live performances by Broadway dancers and footage of Astaire and Rogers, all accompanied by a live band.

Songs include "Cheek to Cheek," "Night and Day," and "The Way You Look Tonight."

"Carefree" is directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, a Tony winner for his choreography of 2013's "After Midnight," which he also directed. His other Broadway choreography work includes "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" (2012), "A Christmas Story: The Musical: (2012), "On the Twentieth Century" (2015) and "She Loves Me" (2016).

And, Broadway fans, take note: "Carefree" boasts an appearance by Donna McKechnie, who won a Tony for "A Chorus Line."

"Carefree: Dancin' with Fred & Ginger," 8 p.m. Saturday, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London; $40-$64; (860) 444-7373.
