Will & Anthony celebrate holidays
At some point this season, you'll flip on the television and see Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby crackin' jokes, dancing, singing and otherwise charming their collective way through another recitation of "White Christmas." The film is revered for many reasons — not the least of which is that it reminds folks of an era when entertainers worked in a "variety show" format.
Brooklyn-born brothers Will & Anthony celebrate and explore this old-school approach, even as they bring their own modern twists to the idea. Featuring dry wit and classically trained singing voices, Will & Anthony have honed a stage show that the Huffington Post called "a nearly impossible pairing of talent, stage presence and charisma."
See the siblings perform a new show called "Broadway Holiday" on Friday at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center — a scant two weeks before they make their debut in Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops.
Will & Anthony, 8 p.m. Friday, Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St., Old Saybrook; $53-$58; 1-877-503-1286.
