Rapper Suave-Ski enterains at "Live Lunch Break" Thursday

    Suave-Ski (Contributed)

Hip hop returns to the palatial "Live Lunch Break" stage Thursday when emcee Suave-Ski performs at noon in New London's Telegraph Records Shop. A longtime favorite in the regional urban music scene, Suave-Ski was originally known — and racked up numerous Whalie awards back in the day — as Camacho.

Newly-christened, and with the excellently produced and, well, suavely delivered CD called "Suavedup" — yes, the lavishly illustrated "fun whilst skiing with nudists" cover is based on the book "My Life as a Funster" by Rick Koster — Suave-Ski is at the top of his game. We look forward to hearing material from "Suavedup" and discussing his work. And, no,regrettably, we ask that you not bring nudists or snow skis.

Suave-ski, "Live Lunch Break," noon Thursday, Telegraph Records Shop, 19 Golden St., New London; free; theday.com/livelunch.
