Norwich police identify man whose body was found in Yantic River

Norwich ― Police on Friday identified the man found dead in the Yantic River as 26-year-old Daniel J. Busby of Norwich.

Police have said his death does not appear to be suspicious, but they are waiting for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine his cause of death.

Busby’s body was spotted by a fisherman at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday near the Route 2 overpass in Norwichtown, in the area of the Stop & Shop.
