Montville – Long time democratic town councilor Edward Radgowski has conceded, stepping aside for incumbent democratic council Chairwoman Catherine "Candy" Buebendorf to stay on the council.
Radgowski turned in his letter to Town Clerk Lisa Terry shortly after 1 p.m. today, officially withdrawing his name from consideration for the position.
Radgowski's withdrawal means there is no need to recount the votes from Tuesday night's election; he and Buebendorf each received 1,397 votes for the final seat on the seven member council.
The new council will be sworn in Monday night at 8 in the council chambers at town hall.
