    Malloy committed to better transit

All of the candidates for governor this year say they want to create jobs. Dan Malloy is the only one ready to tackle the underlying problem that is keeping Connecticut from being competitive in the job market.

Our transportation system is pathetic. Connecticut's highways are becoming increasingly congested and workers' commutes are getting longer. This has a negative effect on job growth. Potential employees do not want to have to drive more than an hour every day just to get to work.

Our rail lines are aging and are not efficient or expansive enough to be relied upon for daily use for most employees. By improving our transportation system, Dan Malloy believes we will be able to attract more jobs and reduce strain on current employees.

While he was mayor of Stamford, Dan Malloy expanded parking facilities along the rail line, received millions in federal money for the Stamford Urban Transitway and improved access to rail services.

Dan Malloy has shown that he is dedicated to updating our state's transportation system and attracting more employers, and he has the experience to get the job done at the statewide level.
