What are the major issues for your town? We face a lot of very tough issues; the poor education system, which effects property values, town growth, and the local economy. The lack of businesses coming to our wonderful ocean front community. The lack of expanding our grand list by not developing Fort Trumbull with a large tax paying entity or the development of shaws cove, and bank street. The Lack of use at the waterfront park which leads to the very lack of tourism. The lack of support from the city goverment to our business community. The lack of sollution for the homeless. The lack of fire and police living within our community, which leads to an increase in crime. The lack of attraction to bring people to our city to gain in revenue. The sterotype that our city is the emminet domain capital of the world and that our children are not able to read. That we have no grant writter to get federal funds to help improve our infrastucture. The lack of leadership that has lead to back room deals and poor descions making which has lead to the cities current situations. The issue regarding Riverside park and giving tax abates, when our own business community does not recieve any abatements. We must stop giving away New London.

What makes you the best candidate for this office? I belive that no one candidate can say he or she is the best for the job. I believe the people have the greatest power of all, thier vote will dtermine who is the best candidate. However, as far as what I can bring to the table is being a jack of all trades and a lot of life time experiences. I learned the ability of empathy along time ago. This is the ability to put yourself in someone eles shoes. My Life experience are as follows; Salesman, manager of large auto dealerships, fianace and insurance manager, hotel manager and owner, cook, chef, realtor, event planner, bellman, substitute teacher, law school graduate, contractor and builder, reo manager, litigator pro se, landlord, parent, grand parent. I belive all this makes me a good candidate and up for the task at hand. My father said before he died, that I could sell Ice cubes to Alaskan's. I will sell New London to the world to bring greatness to our city. I have worked since I was eight years old and I have a great ability to listen and work with anyone.

What was the last book you read, and what did you think of it? As of lately the books I have been reading are children's books. I learned when I was substitute teaching, the best thing that you can do is read to young children during thier developmental stages. This put young children at a higher developmental range than children who are not read to.My granddaughter and I have been reading every day and I can see a big advantage over children who do not have the same opportunaties. We as a community must remember the children are our future, let's help them achieve the American Dream and be whatever they want to be.
