Bystanders retrieve man from Noank marina waters, perform CPR
Groton – Good Samaritans pulled a man out of the waters of a Noank marina on Saturday afternoon and began CPR ahead of emergency personnel’s arrival, fire officials said.
Noank fire Chief Michael Gale said his department was dispatched to Spicer’s Marina on Marsh Road at approximately 4:11 p.m. for a report of a man in the water.
“When the fire department arrived, the man was out of the water and CPR had been initiated by bystanders,” Gale said. “Firefighters took over medical care and the man was removed from the dock before being transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.”
