Great win last night for Boston.
Red Sox Nation is eerily positive today after Cody Ross hit that blast over the Monster to walk-off over the White Sox and trust me I' m not here to bring it to negative town. I was psyched watching that celebration unfold last night.
I think the how is why I enjoyed that win more than the why.
Don't get me wrong, the walk-off was great. With that though, you had a phenomenal starting pitching performance from Clay Buchholz, a clean night from the bullpen and, of course, the offense in the end.
It was a complete team victory.
Not a great pitching performance with no offense. A big offensive night making up for lackluster pitching. Every facet contributed to the win which is why I think it was so sweet for the players and the fans.
There are moments in every long baseball season where a struggling team can turn the corner. There has been a few for Boston this season. Right now though, at the end of July, this would be the perfect time for a run.
Buchholz stepped up huge last night. Hopefully Beckett can tonight with Lester to follow suit.
