Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro leads off a non-partisan roster of speakers at a statewide conference, "Connecticut Women: Be the Change You Want to See," from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

The state's Permanent Commission on the Status of Women is presenting the conference for which more than 200 have already registered.

As part of a national initiative called Vision2020, the conference aims at advancing women's equality by the year 2020 (the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote).
