Nina Elizabeth Deppen and Steven James Reardon were married at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the summer home of bride's family in Groton Long Point. The ceremony was performed by Reverend Victoria Burdick. The reception was held at the home of the bride's mother in Groton. The maid of honor was Bray Deppen, sister of the bride, and the best man was Steven A. Reardon, father of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Valerie Russell and Thomas Deppen of Statesville, S.C., and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Didier Rocherolle of Old Lyme, and Maureen Deppen of Statesville and the late Donald Deppen. Nina is a 2005 graduate of Wilton High School and a 2010 graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in family and human development. She is a preschool teacher in Groton and is attending Liberty University for a master's degree in school counseling.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven A. Reardon of Stonington and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pia and the late James Reardon and Eunice Reardon Curry. Steven is a 1995 graduate of Ledyard High School and is employed at Millstone Power Station.

Mr. and Mrs. Reardon reside in Groton and will be expecting their first child in February 2013.
