CCT Schedules Auditions for Cinderella

The Colchester Community Theatre has scheduled auditions for its February 2013 production of Cinderella (Enchanted Edition) thru special arrangement with R & H Theatricals. "The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits. This Enchanted Edition is based on the 1997 teleplay."

Auditions will be held Tuesday, November 6 and Saturday, November 10 for children age 7 and up, teens and adults (see below for the designated time for children ages 4 -6). Auditions on Tuesday, November 6 are from 6:45 – 9:00 pm at Congregation Ahavath Achim (Colchester Synagogue) Hall - 84 Lebanon Avenue in Colchester. On Saturday, November 10, auditions will be held at Bacon Academy High School Cafeteria (Auditorium entrance) - 611 Norwich Avenue, Colchester. Children ages 4 – 6 ONLY are asked to arrive for 9:30 a.m. for a group audition (sheet music is not required). All other ages are welcome between 10:00 and 12:30. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key and be prepared to sing. An accompanist will be provided. Everyone will be asked to learn a short choreographed routine.

Roles are available for children, teens and adults. Both males and females will be considered for the stepsister roles. Please note that there are a minimum number of roles for children. Some actors will be asked to read from the script. Also seeking female dancers with ballet experience. These dancers will only be required to audition for the choreographer if they are not interested in singing.
