Singing von Trapp to perform in Old Lyme

Singer Elisabeth von Trapp will perform at Saint Ann's Episcopal Church in Old Lyme on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. Von Trapp, who was born and raised in Vermont, is the granddaughter of Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired "The Sound of Music." Von Trapp's repertoire ranges from Bach to Broadway, Shubert to Sting. Gospel tunes, pop classics and her own compositions share space in a typical concert.

The concert is free and open to the public. Space is limited and the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. A free-will offering will be collected, and refreshments will be served after the concert.

Saint Ann's is at 82 Shore Road in Old Lyme. For more information, contact Kathy Rowe at (860) 434-1621 or visit www.saintannsoldlyme.org.
