I would've loved to have been at the pitch session for the video for "Pasarela," the deliriously catchy second single from reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee's sixth album, "Prestige." That CD hip-shook its way to the top of the iTunes sales charts upon its release in September.
The "Pasarela" video starts with a fashion model walking by herself down a city sidewalk. A stylishly dressed man walks by her, turns and does the "I'm checking you out above my sunglasses" move.
Cut to Daddy Yankee in the back seat of a Bentley adorned with a license plate that reads "Prestige," and he's listening to "Pasarela," which is Spanish for "catwalk." The model joins Daddy Yankee in the back seat and they begin to drink champagne, laugh and generally seem enjoy each others' company.
Cut to a montage of models in their dressing room and then partying with Daddy Yankee. That work for you, man? Can we do this?
