Hartford - Freshman Breanna Stewart scored 21 points to lead No. 2 UConn to a 119-50 rout of Division II Holy Family on Wednesday night in the Huskies' final exhibition game of the season before 1,300 at the XL Center who braved heavy snow and wind.

Sophomore Brianna Banks, who struggled as a freshman, added 20 points for UConn, which hit 18 of 34 shots from 3-point range.

"Like most freshmen do, I didn't want to mess up on the court, and I thought about that too much," Banks said. "Now I have a different mindset on the court. I know what to expect and what the coaches expect of me."

Stefanie Dolson (15 points), Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (14), Morgan Tuck (14), Moriah Jefferson (12) and Caroline Doty (11) also scored in double figures for the Huskies while Dolson had seven rebounds and Kelly Faris had nine assists.

"I don't think offense is going to be a problem," UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. "I say that, but it's not going to be every night where you go out and make 18 3s. We probably took more 3s than I'd like to see us take, but the other team can dictate that, too. They just put five guys in the lane and dare you to shoot it."

"We've got a really good shooting team. ... I hope I'm right, but I don't think scoring points is going to be one of the issues we have going forward."

Ana Cruz and Erin Mann both scored 11 points for Holy Family. The Tigers led 20-19 midway through the first half, but the Huskies hit five 3-pointers in a 15-0 first-half run to take control and outscored Holy Family 61-12 in the second half.

UConn played without starting point guard Bria Hartley, who sprained her left ankle in August and is questionable for the regular season opener on Sunday against the College of Charleston in Storrs at 1:30 p.m.
