Kudos to the City of Groton Highway Department. Jupiter Point was ravaged by Storm Sandy. Many had their first floors inundated with flood waters. Many more lost docks, decks, and sheds. Parts and pieces of our lives plied the wild waters of Baker Cove and Pine Island Bay ending up in the road and on our yards.
We all rolled up our sleeves and piled mountains of stuff by the side of the road, and Nov. 3 the workers from the highway department were out in force. By 12:30 p.m. 90 percent of the storm's leavings were gone. You guys are the very best! And my husband and I have lived in seven states, so we know.
Are you happy with the outcome of the presidential election?
