Waterford – Police on Thursday arrested a 20-year-old Uncasville man and his alleged 16-year-old accomplice on charges related to an Oct. 22 armed robbery of a Quaker Hill convenience store.

Travis P. Kalin of 5 Blumenthal Drive and the male teen each were charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery and sixth-degree larceny.

Police said the pair wore masks when they entered the Henny Penny at 26 Norwich Road around 10:15 p.m. and displayed a weapon. The suspects fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. A state police canine unit and Montville police also responded to the scene.

Kalin is held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Friday in New London Superior Court. The minor was taken to the juvenile detention center in Hartford.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
