‘Tis the season to shop and nothing beats shopping local. Supporting your neighbors, your community and the local economy can be an added benefit to shopping this holiday season.
American Express coined the phrase Small Business Saturday, now in its 3rd year, to identify the day between Black Friday and Cyber Monday as the Saturday to shop local. It may have started as an initiative from American Express, but it has evolved into a rally for local retailers to join together to offer shoppers a superstore experience where they can shop for a variety of gifts, such as clothing, electronics, and housewares; and know that not only are they getting great discounts, but are also boosting the local economy.
Communities all across the shoreline have jumped on board the initiative, and now you can find hundreds of local deals this Saturday, Nov. 24.
