New Haven (AP) — New Haven police say a man has been shot to death inside a city store during what was apparently a robbery.
Police spokesman David Hartman says 55-year-old Abdul Rawas was shot in the back and arm Tuesday morning inside the Orchard Market. Hartman says Rawas was apparently the store owner.
Emergency crews sent Rawas by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are looking to review surveillance footage from cameras, but authorities say there is no suspect and they do not have information of any getaway vehicle.
